The film series PARANORMAL ACTIVITY has been part of the Halloween season for the past several years, replacing then holiday tradition that was the SAW series. I remember seeing the first film on opening day and much to my chagrin, I was disappointed after it was over. Had a great premise, decent acting, but what made me dislike it was the stupid, typical and cliched Hollywood ending. That took me right out of the film and I was so pissed because the way it ended. Unfortunately, it became a huge boxoffice smash hit that it became Blumhouse Productions and Paramount Pictures' franchise and thus spawned a total of four sequels, including today's review of their latest chapter PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION.

The film's official synopsis: The Ghost Dimension, follows a new family, The Fleeges - father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) - Who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage. When they look through the camera's lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them - including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.

Theatrical Movie Poster (2015)
Again, produce Jason Blum's production company spits out another lame ass, half ass sequel that isn't scary, terrifying, horrifying nor interesting enough to hold my attention, let alone anyone else who's seen this movie. It was boring, uneventful, uneven and very predictable. Basically, if you've seen the other films in the series, then you'll deduce the ending about ten minutes into watching the movie.

The only thing I found interesting about the film was actress Olivia Taylor Dudley, who portrays Skyler in the movie. Not only is she a talented and beautiful, but now she's a big time television star. She is currently starring in the hit Syfy television series The Magicians and I am a big fan of the show. I really enjoyed her performance and I am very happy to see that she was able to become a famous actress despite appearing in this abomination of a horror movie.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record by saying this again but Mr. Blum and his production company needs to stop making crap and produce original projects that cater to us devoted horror fans who are in need of something new instead of the countless remakes, reboots and reimagines that have plagued movie theater for the past several years. We're tired and oh so bored! We want horror films that will scare the shit out of us!! So please start making horror movies that are scary!!

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION isn't worth wasting your time watching! Don't even bother looking at the trailer for it! Look, I'm telling you all this for your own good. Just say no to bad horror movie sequels! 1 out of 5 stars!! It sticks!!

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION is available on both DVD, BLU-Ray and on Video On Demand. To learn more about Blumhouse Productions visit their website at www.blumhouse.com.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the show!
