When I first saw SINISTER back in October of 2012, I wasn't really all that impressed with it. I mean, it had its moments of being genuinely creepy, but for the most part I found it pretty boring. Now Jason Blum (founder of Blumhouse Productions and the man responsible for the current tidal wave of crappy horror films and franchises) has been known for making unnecessary sequels to films that became hugely popular and extremely profitable. With success of SINISTER, it was only a matter of time before he and his company would unfortunately make a sequel. Sure enough, SINISTER 2 was unleashed upon this realm and, no surprise, it freaking sucked ass.

The film's official synopsis: Following the events from the first film, a different family; a mother and her 2 sons move into a rural house that's marked for death. When the deputy from the first film learns that this family is next in line to fall to the demon Bhughul, he races before time to stop it and save them from the same fate.

Oh my dear lord I don't even know where to begin. Well for starters, the story was stupid, had two dimensional characters that we don't give two shits about, no major Hollywood actors, no real story arc, a sad anti-climatic ending and that sick feeling in my stomach that there might be a sequel. It just was soooooooo bad! Real bad! Like going to the dentist and getting a root canal bad! Like accidentally sitting on your balls bad! Like meeting a hot chick at a bar, have nasty with and come to find out she's your first cousin bad!! Am I making myself clear here?

Again, blame must fall upon the shoulders on Mr. Plum but he doesn't care. Look at his track record as of late. In the past several months his company has produced such boxoffice bombs like THE LAZARUS EFFECT, UNFRIENDED, THE GALLOWS, JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION. Now he did produce INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3, THE VISIT and the remake of THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN which I enjoyed them all very much. But Mr. Plum needs to start making better movies period!

SINISTER 2 is a boxoffice bomb that needs to be removed from the face of the Earth. This movie is a perfect example that some films shouldn't get sequels period. What a total waste of time! 1 out of 5 stars!! Forget about seeing this garbage!!
